Honestly, I just can't help it. Dara McGrath once said, "Photography is an itch that won't go away. No matter how much you scratch it," and let me tell you, the compulsion is REAL. I'm constantly nostalgic for moments as they happen and can't unsee the beauty in every little thing around me. Editorial photography is what satisfies that itch the best, and there's nothing that hits the height of emotion, sentimentality, and glamour quite like a wedding.

Who am I?
Oh gosh, you wouldn't peg me as a shy person when I'm on the job, but in writing I feel vulnerable! Here's a snapshot: I was born and raised in Chicago and lived a few different lives in Bologna (Italy), New Orleans and Houston. Outside of photography I'm a bit of a homebody; I love watching movies and tv shows as a visual person, and my creative hobbies are many, varied, and in constant rotation. I'm a passionate soccer fan (having played my whole life), a Red Stars season ticket holder, and a Man U fan by marriage. I love reading and cooking, and would much prefer a night out in someone's backyard than a bar. To summon me, pour San Pellegrino on a pair of black joggers and whisper something in Italian during a full moon.

My husband and I booked Renata to take our wedding pictures after our court marriage in Chicago. From the beginning she was very collaborative and eager to learn about our vision and wishes during a get-to-know video call.
